Celebrate NAIDOC Week

NAIDOC
NAIDOC celebrations are held around Australia in the first full week in July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. NAIDOC originally stood for 'National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee'. This committee was once responsible for organising national activities during NAIDOC Week and its acronym has become the name of the week itself. The week is celebrated not just in the Indigenous community, but also in government agencies, schools, local councils and workplaces.

Tracky Dack Day

TLC for Kids
TLC for kids offers the fastest support to kids and families in hospital in Australia. On July 6 they will be holding their annual 'Tracky Dack Day' which invites Australians to 'dack up' and wear a pair of trackies to raise awareness and money for kids battling illnesses in hospital.
For these kids, trackies represent wellness and normality as they're encouraged each morning to change out of their pyjamas to keep a healthy mindset.
Simply hold your own 'Tracky Dack Day' at your School, Workplace, Club or with your mates, collect a gold coin donation from everyone who participates and deposit the funds via the TLC for kids website. If you can't dack up, you can wear a sticker to show your support.
